"Regina is creative and pragmatic; a rare find when working with an interior designer! I have considered options I love, that I would not have before, with her as my guide. She is calm, thoughtful and composed, and makes the home decorating process less stressful and fun."

a little bit about me . . .

 interior designer & muralist

My love for design started in the 80’s as a little girl going to a NYC art school with my mom. I learned that all design ideas are worthy. . . but certain concepts fit some people better than others. My design philosophy feels the same. I love & appreciate many design styles but ultimately my job is to uncover what style speaks to you. Each of my clients are so special in their own way. I love getting to know you & creating a design specifically for you & your lifestyle.

Regina DF Designs officially began as a mural painting side job over 20 years ago once I completed my BFA in Fine Arts from Syracuse University. I went on to continue my education in Interior Design at FIT in NYC. Over the years, I’ve expanded into product design, residential renovations & full-service Interior Design with clients all over the US.

My designs are informed by my love of color, light & texture. A great design should have texture, richness and simplicity. I believe that a home should be beautiful but it should also reflect the people living in it. A clean, organized & beautiful space can transform your daily life.

After many, many moves, my retired Coast Guard husband, daughter & I have found our home in RVA - it has so much to offer; outdoor activities, amazing people with a thriving art scene and so much more I have yet to discover!

design assistant

Originally from Richmond, I moved to North Carolina to attend Meredith College. After teaching in Raleigh and meeting my now husband, we moved to High Point, NC, for him to pursue his passion in the furniture industry. This exposed me to many different furniture companies and the High Point Furniture Market which peeked my interest in home décor.

After having our first son, we moved back to Richmond and had the opportunity to build our home. The building process taught me about designing a home and had so much fun being able to decorate a blank canvas.

When the opportunity arose to work with Regina, I knew it would be a great way for me to learn more about this industry. I have loved being able to work with Regina and look forward to working with her amazing clients!
